What's new for games in Google Play and Android

View it online SEPTEMBER 2024 Android 15 released to AOSP Now released to the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), Android 15 continues our focus on a private and secure platform that helps improve your productivity. You get new capabilities to produce beautiful apps, superior media and camera experiences, and a refined user experience, particularly on tablets and foldables. Android 15 will be available later this year on supported Pixel devices. Learn more Google Play and Android policy deadlines We regularly update our policies to help keep Google Play a safe and trustworthy platform. Deadlines in October 2024 • Apps may only access photos and videos when doing so is directly related to app functionality. Otherwise, apps are requested to use a system picker. Deadlines in January 2025 • SafetyNet Attestation will be turned off. Timeline extended from June 2024 to January 2025. • We're introducing a Child Safety Standards policy requiring Social and Dating apps to follow specific standards and self-certify compliance on Play Console before publishing.
